Will my treatment be painful?

If you are like the majority of our patients, you will find the treatment to be quite comfortable. We use topical numbing cream for lip enhancements. You may feel a slight pinching sensation from the fine gauge needle that will be used during your treatment. Restylane contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic, which should help ease any discomfort you may experience.

What can I expect during my recovery?

For the first two days post-treatment, try to keep your hands away from your face. Do not massage or rub the area. When cleaning your face, do not expose the area to extreme hot or cold temperatures for the first few days. The side effects of Restylane are minimal. You may experience slight bruising, swelling, and redness around the injection site. If you feel any discomfort, an ice pack is helpful. These effects typically fade very quickly.

How long can I expect my results to last?
